Tina Thornsbury has 5 kayaks and life jackets\, and will be teaching us how to get in and out of\, and how to use a kayak. If you have your own kayak and life jackets\, you can bring them. Cost of the event is $10.00. We will be providing a picnic type lunch. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes you don’t care to get wet in\, and don’t forget the sunscreen.

DESCRIPTION:Come join Lake Cumberland Chapter Leader\, Kelly Crow\, on a Wildlife Women trail ride. We will be meeting at Logan Hubble Park in Lancaster\, KY for an easy\, laid back trail ride. Sign in when you arrive to make sure you get your name in the drawing for a trail ride door prize. At 10am\, we will head out on the trails.\nThis park area is a perfect place for a 2 or 3 hour trail ride before the weather gets hot. It is virtually flat and well marked. Please check the Garrad County Logan Hubble Park website for info on this location. They have campsites\, horse stalls\, and plenty of other options for those that may want to go early and stay the weekend.\nNegative coggins is required on all horses…..******no charge for this event\, but a donation to Wildlife Women for events and charities can be given. \n  \nDIRECTIONS:\n(turn left onto US 150\, proceed 8 mi.\, turn right onto US 27\, go 4 mi.\, turn left onto White Oak\, follow signs) The 200-acre regional recreational facility includes a lake\, picnic facilities\, equestrian trail\, hiking\, playground\, basketball courts and boat ramp onto the Dix River.

DESCRIPTION:CALLING ALL WILDLIFE WOMEN! We all enjoy being outdoors-for whatever the reason. The NWTF and Blue Grass Sportsman League know this and want to encourage us! NWTF member\, Tina Hitchner\, has put together an amaizing weekend event–OUTDOOR WOMEN GO PRIMITIVE!\nScheduled for April 28-29\, 2018\, we will go primitive at the Blue Grass Sportsman League in beautiful Wilmore\, Kentucky.\nThe cost is $25 per person and covers meals and a commemorative t-shirt. Primitive tent shelters will also be provided.\nThis weekend is jam-packed with tons of stuff-all meant to teach\, inspire\, and encourage our love of all things outdoors! DESCRIPTION:Come join Chapter 5 of Wildlife Women for an all nighter! We will meet at Rush Off Road Park Saturday night for a camp out followed by a Sunday full of four wheeling fun! \nATV rentals are available through a local Honda shop. \nAttendee is responsible for camping gear and food\, ATV and Park Pass. \nPlease RSVP to event as soon as possible. \nWOMEN ONLY 18 and Over \nWildlife Women fee: $10.00 \n  \nJust a quick reminder! All attendees are required to follow all Park rules. That includes no riding double in four wheelers and wearing helmets on four wheelers and dirt bikes. Attendees are responsible for all Park related fees as well as the $10 Wildlife Women event fee (cause we have to pay for these awesome events somehow!)! SUMMARY:Tactical Self Defense
DESCRIPTION:Ops United Training will provide a special workshop targeted at Women and Self Protection. This will be Krav Maga based self-defense that will focus on various strikes (kicking\, punching and knee strikes) along with defending against personal attacks with the emphasis on moving to higher level of force (drawing a concealed weapon) or escape. Ladies will be immersed into situations and respond with proper tactics for surviving and protecting themselves and others. This is for all levels\, with emphasis on Beginners and will be taught from a beginner level with basic strikes and kicks. Wear whatever you find comfortable for movement\, tshirts\, shorts or yoga pants or jeans\, as you will be participating in scenario driven exercise. The class will start with a warm-up followed by combatives (striking/kicking) then self-defense techniques and we will finish by adding it all together to incorporate moving to concealed weapons. There will be drills during the class so that this will be done under stress and or fatigue. If you have MMA or exercise gloves (you will be hitting pads) and a conceal carry holster\, bring those items. It is being offered to Wildlife Women for a total cost of $50 per participant. Our instructor\, Brian Warren\, is a retired police officer. He retired from the Anchorage Police Dept.(KY) at the rank of lieutenant. During his 26 year career\, he was a firearms instructor and a defensive tactics instructor. He has also been a Krav Maga instructor for 10 years for police\, military\, and civilian students.\nHe is currently a full-time instructor at the police academy. DESCRIPTION:CCW class for Women… Ladies\, if you ever wanted to get your carry and conceal permit now is your chance. The class is 6 hours long and our instructor is Andrew Baldwin. Coach Baldwin is a football coach and teacher at Belfry Middle School and has taught several CCW classes in our area! Come join us for a day full of gun education and training. You will walk away with the knowledge and ability you need to be able to carry a concealed fire arm and know you are protecting yourself and your loved ones!
