SUMMARY:Wildlife Women Fundraising Event for Byron
DESCRIPTION:Byron was found by Chapter Leader Tina Thornsberry and her husband in the creek thrown out. Tina had heard his cries and searched until they found him. He had 2 broken back legs\, his tail had been broken off and he was covered in maggots and was on the brink of death. At 11pm on a weekday night he was rushed to Louisville from Knott co. There was 4 different drivers who helped Byron get to the animal hospital in Louisville. Byron made it to Louisville at 3am. His fever was 105. Honestly no one thought he would make it. But he’s a trooper. He has made it thru 3 surgeries. The Arrow Fund made it possible for Byron to get the care he needed. His hospital bills are extremely expensive.\nWildlife Women and Chapter Leader Tina Thornsberry are doing a fundraiser to help Byron and the other puppies at the Arrow Foundation. If you’d like to donate\, Tina will personally make sure it gets to Byron and the Arrow Fund. Tina will be taking a load of supplies up herself on August 4th and visit Byron. The foundation needs Money most of all. But other things will help also. Food\, toys\, puppy pads\, beds\, dog shampoo\, treats\, cleaning supplies is very much appreciated! Everything will be taken to Louisville by Tina because Baby Byron holds a special place in her heart along with all the ladies in Wildlife Women. When Tina found him\, she held and prayed for this puppy so he would have the help he needed and that he would be able to live a loving life. DESCRIPTION:  \n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\nA mother-daughter beginners fishing class where you will learn the basic skills needed to start your fishing experience! You will learn many things such as: how to set up your fishing pole with line\, bobbers\, hooks\, sinkers\, bait\, and any other accessory needed to make sure your fishing experience is amazing! You will also learn many other “fishing 101” facts and tips during this class. There will be a limited amount of supplies provided to practice on for those who do not already have fishing supplies. All items needed for this class will also be available to purchase at Cabelas! These are the items you will need to bring with you to class: rod and reel\, hooks\, sinkers\, bobbers\, fishing line\, and a smiling face! The cost of this class will be $10 total for a mother-daughter duo. It will last approximately 2 hours. At 10am\, we will head out on the trails.\nThis park area is a perfect place for a 2 or 3 hour trail ride before the weather gets hot. It is virtually flat and well marked. SUMMARY:Wildlife Women - Hunting with Slingshots
DESCRIPTION:FAMILY EVENT—-Wildlife Women is working with Performance Catapults to teach everyone how to properly use a sling shot as a hunting tool for small game. Workshop participation will include a custom sling shot handmade using patented technology by a championship sportsman\, two sets of bands\, full instruction and lunch. Join us to educate\, inspire and encourage. Safety glasses needed. (Can be purchased on location) Cost of workshop is $75. $5 discount for Paid Wildlife Women Members. SUMMARY:Outdoor Women Go Primitive!
DESCRIPTION:CALLING ALL WILDLIFE WOMEN! We all enjoy being outdoors-for whatever the reason. The NWTF and Blue Grass Sportsman League know this and want to encourage us! NWTF member\, Tina Hitchner\, has put together an amaizing weekend event–OUTDOOR WOMEN GO PRIMITIVE!\nScheduled for April 28-29\, 2018\, we will go primitive at the Blue Grass Sportsman League in beautiful Wilmore\, Kentucky.\nThe cost is $25 per person and covers meals and a commemorative t-shirt. Primitive tent shelters will also be provided.\nThis weekend is jam-packed with tons of stuff-all meant to teach\, inspire\, and encourage our love of all things outdoors! Just a sample of what we will be doing includes:\n*Primitive camping\n*Archery (provided or you can bring your own)\n*Shooting w/muzzleloaders (provided or you can bring your own)\n*Nature hike/scavenger hunt\n*”Turkey Tactics” -hunting tips and techniques\n*Campfire cooking\n*Fire starting contest\nDouble Action Pawn has also been gracious enough to offer a High Point 9mm pistol to be raffled at the event! SUMMARY:Wildlife Women Mud and Mascara
DESCRIPTION:Come join Chapter 5 of Wildlife Women for an all nighter! We will meet at Rush Off Road Park Saturday night for a camp out followed by a Sunday full of four wheeling fun! \nATV rentals are available through a local Honda shop. \nAttendee is responsible for camping gear and food\, ATV and Park Pass. \nPlease RSVP to event as soon as possible. \nWOMEN ONLY 18 and Over \nWildlife Women fee: $10.00 \n  \nJust a quick reminder! All attendees are required to follow all Park rules. That includes no riding double in four wheelers and wearing helmets on four wheelers and dirt bikes. Attendees are responsible for all Park related fees as well as the $10 Wildlife Women event fee (cause we have to pay for these awesome events somehow!)! There will be a registration table set up where everyone will need to sign a release form for our TV Show. \nBecause the demand for event T-shirt’s was SO overwhelming…there will be a FEW shirts available to purchase at the ride! It will be first come\, first serve and limited sizes!! \n  \n  \n \nPurchase any 2 or both tshirts and/or hoodie that we are offering to fundraise for this event!! \n

SUMMARY:Tactical Self Defense
DESCRIPTION:Ops United Training will provide a special workshop targeted at Women and Self Protection. This will be Krav Maga based self-defense that will focus on various strikes (kicking\, punching and knee strikes) along with defending against personal attacks with the emphasis on moving to higher level of force (drawing a concealed weapon) or escape. Ladies will be immersed into situations and respond with proper tactics for surviving and protecting themselves and others. This is for all levels\, with emphasis on Beginners and will be taught from a beginner level with basic strikes and kicks. Wear whatever you find comfortable for movement\, tshirts\, shorts or yoga pants or jeans\, as you will be participating in scenario driven exercise. The class will start with a warm-up followed by combatives (striking/kicking) then self-defense techniques and we will finish by adding it all together to incorporate moving to concealed weapons. There will be drills during the class so that this will be done under stress and or fatigue. If you have MMA or exercise gloves (you will be hitting pads) and a conceal carry holster\, bring those items. It is being offered to Wildlife Women for a total cost of $50 per participant. Our instructor\, Brian Warren\, is a retired police officer. He retired from the Anchorage Police Dept.(KY) at the rank of lieutenant. During his 26 year career\, he was a firearms instructor and a defensive tactics instructor. He has also been a Krav Maga instructor for 10 years for police\, military\, and civilian students.\nHe is currently a full-time instructor at the police academy. SUMMARY:Packin' Mommas - CCDW Class
DESCRIPTION:CCW class for Women… Ladies\, if you ever wanted to get your carry and conceal permit now is your chance. The class is 6 hours long and our instructor is Andrew Baldwin. Coach Baldwin is a football coach and teacher at Belfry Middle School and has taught several CCW classes in our area! Come join us for a day full of gun education and training. You will walk away with the knowledge and ability you need to be able to carry a concealed fire arm and know you are protecting yourself and your loved ones! Lunch will be provided and a door prize will be given! \nThis class is open to any woman who resides in KY or WV!!! \nAGE REQUIREMENT IS 21 \nPricing and items you will need are: \nCost $75 per person \nItems needed: \nFirearm (pistol/handgun)\n50 rounds of new factory ammo\nEar and eye protection\nGun cleaning kit\nGovernment issued photo id \nWe will have some extra firearms if you need to borrow one and some extra cleaning kits.
