Participants will be shooting their shotgun of choice on one of Elk Creek’s sporting clay courses. This event will be a great time for both beginners and advanced shooters. If you’ve never shot sporting clays before\, this is a great opportunity to join other women in a stress-free environment and learn the ins and outs of busting clays. If you have experience with clays or bird hunting\, it’s a great way to gear up for duck season or just get some practice in! This will be a women’s only event\, ages 14-18 can participate with an adult. \nParticipants are welcome to bring their own shotgun\, or rent one from the Hunt Club. Participants will be shooting 50 or 100 rounds\, so please make sure to bring enough ammo for your preferred course (50 or 100). You can also purchase ammo directly from the Hunt Club at market price. All participants will need to have hearing and eye protection while on the course. DESCRIPTION:This will be our 2nd annual duck hunting seminar with Brent Thompson Pine Ridge British Labradors. We are privileged enough to have Brent come from Western Kentucky to the Burnside area to hold instruction on the basics of Duck Hunting. This is instruction only\, it is NOT Duck hunting season. We will learn safety\, duck hunting with dogs\, the basics of duck hunting\, and different equipment needed such as clothing\, guns and ammo\, and state and federal regulations. This training will help you prepare and be ready for a duck hunt in December when the season opens. We will plan a duck hunt in Western Kentucky in December once the seminar is done and it is required to take the seminar if you’ve never duck hunted before in order to attend the actual duck hunt. \nPLEASE bring a shogun\, ammo\, eye and ear protection. Once instruction is given on the above\, we will travel to a location close to trap shoot out of a ground blind. \nThe cost for the event will be $25.00 which will also include a Wildlife Women’s membership upon payment. The event is for women only 18 years and up. DESCRIPTION:  \nChad Campbell is teaching a turkey calling and hunting seminar. He will demonstrate the different calls and how to use them. Also he will talk about turkey hunting and safety. Chad has been teaching turkey seminars for over 20 years\, he has also competed and won numerous calling competitions in the past. Chad is a field rep for Cane Creek Calls and a Mossy Oak Pro-staff. DESCRIPTION:The location of the rabbit hunt is set to be held at the Griffith Woods WMA (in the past referred to as Silver Lake Farm). Griffith Woods WMA is located in Harrison County near the junction of US 62 and Russell Cave RD (State RD 353). It is approximately 4 miles southwest of Cynthiana\, 15 miles east of Georgetown\, and 25 miles northeast of Lexington. \nThis is a LADIES ONLY event! If you have any questions please message Michelle Ralston. \n  \n  \nWildlife Women is pairing up with Marty Neal with Traditions Archery Outfitters Pro Shop in Louisville\, Kentucky to host a public land rabbit hunt. \nWe will start by having dinner on Sunday\, November 18\, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at the Cracker Barrel off of Winchester Road in Lexington (2220 Elkhorn Rd\, Lexington\, KY 40505) to discuss and plan the hunt\, as well as talk about safety and hunting on public land. DESCRIPTION:Join Chapter Leader Kelli Kinkade Cauley for a range night. You can bring your own firearm to shoot\, or try a variety from the counter and let your significant other know what you want for Christmas. \n$5 Half hour range time. $3 liability waiver\, good for 12 months. $1 target. If you want to rent\, $10 handgun or $15 long gun rental includes unlimited change out\, try as many as you like. Must purchase ammo from range for rentals. Eye and hearing protection available for additional fee\, if you don’t bring your own. Closed toe shoes required. \nKelli is NRA certified instructor for handgun\, rifle and shotgun and will be available to answer any questions about fit or use. She will also have a variety of conceal options for try on. You must be 48″ tall to shoot.  18 to rent long gun. 21 to rent handgun.

DESCRIPTION:Come join chapter leader Misty Delph for an evening of shooting at the range. It’s also going to be date night so ladies you can either bring your significant other or just team up together. The cost is $20 per couple! That cost covers your range fee and 1 target per couple. BRING YOUR OWN GUN AND AMMO OR YOU CAN RENT A GUN AND BUY AMMO THERE. There will be a range officer on site for any help or questions! This event is for adults 18 and older and must be 21 to purchase ammo. Eye and ear protection is being donated by the range. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early to do your paper work and have you photo ID on hand.
